Sea Cliff Climbing
Course Details:
Sea cliff climbing is without a doubt the crown jewel in the UK climbing scene. Places like Gogarth, Pembroke, Pabbay / Mingulay, Cornwall etc all contain some absolutely world class routes. The good thing is the quality starts at V Diff! The bad news is there are a few added complications, but once you know how to manage them it’s not that different to climbing anywhere else. There are often a few things you need to take on board:
- The tide
- Sea state / wind & direction
- Rigging fixed abseils
- Choosing appropriate routes
- How to escape if you need to
