Private Guided Scrambling
If you’re looking for an awesome day out in the mountains covering plenty of technical ground then book on to one of our Private Guided Scrambling days. There are lots of excellent enchainments in North Wales and places like the Ogwen Valley are teaming with classic scrambles. You don’t need any previous experience or specialist equipment.
Intro to Alpine Climbing & Scrambling
If you’d like to learn the skills you need to take on graded scrambles (grade 2/3) and alpine rock routes then this course will look at the techniques you’ll need to use. Knowing how and when to use the rope is critical here. Moving on from Grade 1 routes required completely new skills; you’ll need a rope and some trad gear to stay safe, and you’ll need to pitch some sections.
Advanced Scrambling: Alpine Training (for an Alps / Dolomites Trip)
If you’re already competent climber but you’d like to sharpen your skills before an alpine climbing trip to the Alps or Dolomites we’ll cover plenty of varied ground and look at some of the safety systems you can use to balance speed and security. Short pitching, moving together, direct belays etc
Scrambling Progression
If you’re a competent scrambler but you’re looking to break in to actual graded rock climbs then this is the course that will bridge the gap. Some sections of grade 3 scrambles include bits of Diff / Vdiff climbing so some of the terrain will be familiar but actual rock climbs are considerably more serious in that escape will be more difficult, the climbing more sustained and route finding could be harder. Climbing is the obvious next step once you’re confident with roped scrambling.
